Over 50 School had got bomb threat in Delhi via email in the morning time on 1 May. After getting the threat immediately the schools students has evacuated from school campus. After getting the news of the threat the parents of the students rushed to the school to bring their child home.

The Officials said similar threat had received in last two days in airports and on Monday by several hospitals.

An official revealed that all schools in Delhi and the NCR region received identical bomb threat emails, which seemingly originated from Russia on first glance. The officials said, โ€œAll the Central agencies have started coordinating and sharing information from Delhi Police as well as Noida police. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also looking at all the emails,โ€

Ministry of Home Affairs assured that there’s no cause for alarm

The Ministry of Home Affairs has assured that there’s no cause for alarm, as the bomb threats seem to be nothing more than hoax calls. Delhi Police and security agencies are diligently following established protocols, as stated by the ministry.

After conducting search operation inside all affected schools as per protocol, Delhi Police confirmed that no suspicious items discovered. “It appears that these calls are indeed hoaxes. We urge the public to remain calm and uphold peace,” stated the police.

Senior police officers disclosed that several prominent schools, including Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, DPS in R K Puram, and Vasant Kunj in the Southern district, received threatening emails around 4 am, alleging the placement of bombs within the premises with intent to detonate them.

According to a senior police officer, there’s suspicion that the school database was compromised, leading to the mass distribution of these emails. The matter has reported to the Special Cell and Intelligence Bureau officials, who are actively tracing the origin of the sender.

DIG and Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) in Noida, Shivhari Meena, confirmed the bomb threat at DPS Noida, detailing the deployment of police teams, fire tenders, and bomb squads at the site. Students safely sent home, and investigations are ongoing.

Bomb squads, Delhi Police, and Intelligence Bureau teams are conducting operations at the affected schools. Cyber police stations have been involved in the investigation to trace the perpetrator.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the sender utilized a VPN from a foreign network to create the email.

Sudha Acharya, Principal of ITL Public School and former chairperson of National Progressive Schools Conference, stated that five schools in the Southwest district are currently evacuating their premises.

Similar incidents have reported in other states over the past two days, targeting airports, terminals, and hospitals in Delhi.

In response to the situation, Delhi Minister Atishi reassured the public, stating that schools have evacuated, and the premises thoroughly searched by the Delhi Police. She urged parents and citizens not to panic, emphasizing that school authorities are coordinating closely with law enforcement and parents as necessary.
