A tragic road accident has claimed one life of a biker and left two injured on Bogibeel bridge, Dibrugarh on 15th August, 2025.
The road accident occurred near pillar number 3 of the bridge, when a Bolero vehicle collided with a motorcycle. Accident impact was so strong that the Bolero overturned, leaving leaving the biker critically injured. He was rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
Two passenger of Bolero vehicle has injured badly, and they were currently undergoing treatment at AMCH.
The tragic incident occurred on Bogibeel Bridge — India’s longest rail-cum-road bridge and a crucial link between the north and south banks of the Brahmaputra — at a time when the region was marking Independence Day celebrations.
