Assam Police rescued two abducted girls in Mazbat, Udalguri district of Assam after two days of captive on February 7.

According to reports, Assam police rescued two young girls who were kidnapped from Suagpur at Goreswar in Baksha district, Assam on February 5, 2025. The girls were found at Railway quarter in Muzbat after two days after kidnapped.

The girls went missing on February 5, evening from Shagpur. Despite searching by family members the girls at relatives home, nearby the girls remain missing. Following the morning the family members of the girls filed a missing complaint at Goreswar Police station. Upon analyzing the mobile location the Goreswar Police alerted Mazbat police.

Acting swiftly the Mazbat Police traced the abandoned girls and rescued from Mazbat Railway Station nearby quarter.

Police also arrested three youths, among them one suspect managed to escape form the scene.

The arrested suspects are thought to be involved in the kidnapping, with Babu Boro (22) from Hajuguri in Mazbat identified as the main person responsible for the crime.

Further investigation is going on.
