Eligibility Criteria for Assam Police Constable Recruitment
1. Nationality & Residency
- Must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Must be registered in a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Assam Police Constable Recruitment: Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Born between: 01-01-2001 to 01-01-2008
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST (P)/ST (H): 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- Home Guards/VDP/Civil Defence (3+ years service): Additional 3 years
- FMMOs/SPOs: Additional 10 years
Age will be verified only through HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate.
Educational Qualification
Constable (UB)
- Must have passed HS (Class 12) from a recognized board.
Constable (AB)
- Must have passed HSLC (Class 10) from a recognized board.
Candidates with Higher Secondary or above
- Can apply for both UB and AB posts.
- Must clearly mention post preference during application.
