Assam NGO supervisor Arrested for Fake Govt Job Scam

Guwahati Police arrested an NGO supervisor for scamming multiple people by falsely promising them government jobs in Guwahati, Assam. He allegedly took money in exchange of securing government jobs.

The accused identified as 39-year-old Sahidul Islam, worked as a supervisor at an NGO called Siksha Mitra Service. The NGO, Siksha Mitra Service, was only allowed to conduct free scholarship awareness programs in government and provincialised secondary schools. The NGO operates from Ward No. 6, Kotahbari, in Guwahati’s Gorchuk area.

The fraud of the Fake government job came into light after when Kiran Deka Kalita, Registrar of the Directorate of Secondary Education, filed a complaint against him.

Sahidul Islam allegedly took Rs 50,000 from several people, claiming to secure government jobs He is a resident of Kalyanpur in Goalpara district. Police arrested him and took at Dispur Police Station. Legal action has been initiated against him. Further investigation is going on.
