Assam Election commission has announced Panchayat Election 2025 will took place in Two phase 1st on May 2 and May 7.
The information was shared by Chief Election Commissioner Alok Kumar during a press conference at the Assam State Election Commission Office in Panjabari, Guwahati on April 2.
The last date of filling nomination is on April 11, 2025 and the name of the contesting candidate list will announce on April 17.
The name of the district where 1st Phase of election will take place are Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo, Sivasagar, Majuli, Jorhat, Golaghat, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Cachar, Hailakandi, Sribhumi.
The name of district where 2nd phase election will take place Dhubri, South Salmara, Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Bajali, Nalbari, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon, Darrang.
The election commission has announced 25,007 polling station will set up in the upcoming election. Assam State has 1,80,36,682 voters.
