An woman was seriously injured in a bag snatching incident, when a thieves snatch the bag of the woman with valuable items in Guwahati.
On Monday night, at around 8:30 pm the victim woman withdraw money from an ATM near Banaphul Nagar, Guwahati and was returning home. At that time when she was along the road, a snatcher struck without warning and snatch the bags from the woman’s hand. During the struggle the woman fall to the ground and injured. Taking the advantage of the situation, the snatchers fled from the scene.
10,000 cash, a mobile phone, medication, an ATM card, and other valuables, was in the bag.
According to eyewitness, the attackers acted suddenly, grabbing the bag from the woman’s hands. In the struggle, Riju Sharma was pushed to the ground and left lying in the middle of the road.
The passerby helped the woman after noticing the woman lying on the road, immediately rushed to Pratiksha Hospital. The doctors confirmed that she would needed an operation in hand due to her injuries.
The incident has raised concerns in the locality. Further investigation is going on.
