A henieous crime came into fore, where a 12 years old girl allegedly abducted and raped by man in Katigorah, Cachar.
According to reports, the incident took place in the area of Dudpur under Katigorah Police Station, Cachar on September 29, Sunday. The girl, who went out for toilet outside her home in ‘kutcha Toilet’ from where she forcefully abducted by a local of the area. He allegedly took the minor in the paddy field by covering her face to deter her from screaming and raped her in the field.
When the mother of the girl realized her daughter had been gone for longer than expected, she became worried and started calling her name. After so much call they did not get any respond and even she was not found near the toilet area, after that the family member began to search.
After that a group of people went to paddy filed in search of the girl. Hearing the scream of the people the rapist Islam Uddin Mazumder fled from the scene taking the advantage of darkness, leaving the girl in a devasted stage. The accused was from Ganirgram, Katigorah.
In that meant of time, the family was not sure what happened to there daughter, as they didn’t see the rapist escape in the darkness. When she rescued and taken to home, her mother asked her what happened, but the traumatised girl was too weak to speak. After urging her, she finally revealed the horrific incident.
Next morning her mother filed an FIR at Katigorah police Station against the accused urging harshest punishment for the rapist.
