A Mini bus collided with a truck and occurred an accident on February 11, 2025 in Jabalpur. In this accident 7 devotees loss their life while returning from Maha Kumbh to Andra Pradesh in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. 2 remain injured.
According to officials, 7 people who were returning from Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, died after their mini bus collided with a truck in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The devotees were returning to Andra Pradesh after attending Maha Kumbh. The accident occurred at around 9:00 am when the mini bus travelling on National High way 30, collided with speeding cement truck coming from opposite direction.
All the died person are from Andra Pradesh.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Suryakant Sharma said, “The truck, laden with cement, was heading on the highway from the wrong side, and collided with a Traveller five kilometres before Thana Sihora. Seven persons died on the spot, while several others were trapped inside the mini-bus. Following the accident, the collector and Jabalpur’s superintendent of police left for the accident site. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, and further details will be provided once they are identified.”
According to District Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena, the accident happened when a truck driving on the wrong side of the highway crashed into a mini-bus.
Eyewitnesses said the truck was going against traffic, causing the deadly crash. Seven passengers died on the spot, and several others were trapped in the wreckage.
