On Saturday, protest erupted in different location of Imphal, Manipur in demands of justice of the six Meitei people, whose dead body recovered in Barak River upper stream of Jirimukh, Jiribam. This protest has turned into violence that attack 2 Manipur minister houses and three MLAโs houses, even set fire car.
23 individuals arrested involving for vandalizing and setting fire to the homes of ministers and MLAs. In response, authorities imposed a total curfew and suspended internet and mobile data services for two days. Security forces, including the Army and Assam Rifles, deployed to restore order, and flag marches carried out to enforce the curfew and ensure safety.
On November 11, a gun fight broke out between Kuki militants and security forces, where 10 militants killed. One the same day of the incident six Meitei residents abducted from refuge camp.
On Friday, three dead bodies of Meitei missing people found and later in wee hours of Saturday another three body found in the Jirimukh, Jiribam district of Manipur. These dead was the people, who abducted on November 11 from Jiribam.
Violence erupt at Silchar Medical College and Hospital over 10 Kuki Youth dead body of Manipur
On November 16, a violence erupt at Silchar Medical College and Hospital over 10 Kuki youth suspected to be Militants dead body when it set to transferred to Manipur.
Manipur Government has arranged to transport the dead bodies. Government arrange helicopter to transfer the body from Masimpur to Manipur.
Members of the Hmar Association protesting outside the Anatomy department demanded that the bodies to transported by road instead of by air.
This demand increased tensions, forcing Cachar police to deploy more personnel and use restrained force. Protesters then demanded a written assurance that the bodies would not be flown to Imphal but instead taken to Churchandpur town in Manipur. Lastly it has transferred to Manipur.
