Karimganj Short Circuit: A tragic incident took place in Karimganj, where a youth died due to a short circuit. The youth was identified as Sahil Ahmed from the ARC road area. He is a student in class 12 at Karimganj Junior College of Science.
According to information, because of continuous rainfall in the Barak Valley region, many people are facing flood situations. In the house of the deceased, the water also entered. While attempting to unplug the inverter, the electric plug slipped and fell to the floor. As the floor was wet, the live plug was contacted with water, which resulted in an electric shock, which led to death immediately. The incident occurred on Tuesday.
The family member was then taken immediately to the civil hospital in Karimganj, but the doctor said he was brought dead.

The area of Ratabari, Sonbil region, has taken a devastating turn for flooding. The continuous rain has affected the area’s flood situation. Around 2,000 homes in the villages of Gobindganj, Nagendranagar, Anandpur, Gamaraiya, and Noyatila are flooded by water. 40,000 people are affected by the flood. Many residents of that area have sought refuge in a relief camp.
With this continuous rainfall, the water level of the Singla River goes above the danger level. The Khusiyara River also goes above the danger level. As a result, the flood re-entered the area, which was already submerged.
Moreover, the embankment near the Pesala railway gate on the eastern side broke last night. The flooding has created an unprecedented situation in many areas of Ratabari constituency. The MP of Karimganj, Kripanath Mallah, and Ratabari MLA, Bijoy Malakar, have visited the flood-affected area.
