Police arrested a wildlife smuggler for allegedly selling the body parts of wildlife animals in Chirang, Assam. They recovered and seized tiger teeth and deer antlers.
According to reports, police launched an operation in Ballimari under jurisdiction of the Panbari Police Station, Chirang. During the operation at Sheikhโs residence and recovered tiger teeth and a set of deer antlers. This incident highlights the ongoing issue of wildlife life smuggling in the region. Authorities are increasing their efforts to stop illegal wildlife trade, which is a big threat to endangered animals and plants.
Police arrested the individual under the Wildlife Protection Act. Further investigation is going on to uncover the networks involved in smuggling. Police also urging the public to reports if any suspicious things or activities related to wildlife trade has been seen.
