Uttarakhand Bike Rider’s Stolen Bike Recovered in Assam’s Fakirganj

Uttarakhand Bike Rider bike was stolen on March 6 from a guest house in Sarusajai area, Guwahati, which was successfully recovered by Assam Police at late night.

According to reports, the stolen bike was recovered from Fakirganj, Dubhri district of Assam. The bike was recovered in a joint operation by Basistha and Fakirganj Police.

Police sources said the recovered bike was taken to Basistha Police Station late at night. Two suspects, Firoz Qazi and Ashraful Deban, were arrested in connection of theft.

“Rider Noni, a bike rider from Uttarakhand on a 30,000 km ‘Women Empowerment’ ride, faced a tough situation in Assam when her bike was stolen. After travelling half of India for six she faced incident at Assam.

She took her Instagram and seek help from Assam Police and CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.

She stated, “I have been on this ‘women empowerment’ tour for the last six months. I have toured nearly half of India, but I was shocked after entering Assam, where my bike was stolen.” 

She also shared CCTV footage.
