On Thursday a tragic incident took place where a lightning strike has claimed the lives of two young cousins in the Ganganagar area of Dholai, Cachar. Another two youth also injured in the same strike they immediately taken to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. This two injured ia in critical condition and in under treatment. They all was in the way to go home where rain started thunder storm and they took shelter under a shed. After some time lightning strike where they was waiting which cause this incident.
The name of the two youth who are also cousins identified as Dilawar Hussain, 17, and Riyabul Hussain, 14. The incident took place in afternoon on May 2 when Dilawar and his other three friends were roaming in the area a suddenly the rain started with lightning. This caused panic in the area and everyone run for shelter. The four friends stopped under a waiting shed at the roadside, they hoped the rain would stop up soon.
Tragically the lightning struck the shelter with great force, instantly taking the lives of Dilawar and Riyabul. Nebula Hussain and Farukh Ahmed, the other two friends, were also badly hurt by the lightning.
After the incident the locals immediately rushed the two injured boy in nearly hospital in a critical condition. After the incident, Cachar Police promptly arriving at the scene to manage the aftermath. The mortal remains of the two cousins were sent for postmortem examination, further underscoring the profound shock and disbelief that gripped the community. Despite the sudden and ferocious nature of the lightning strike, local residents banded together to provide assistance to the injured and aid in the recovery of the deceased.
