The Silchar Girl whose dead body was recovered from Dwarbond and was suspected to be raped and acid attack, the murderer has been arrested by the Cachar police. She was missing from 15 July and recovered the body on 18 July. After recovering the dead body, the locals protest in demanding of the arrest of the culprit.
On 19th July night the Police arrested her boyfriend as a Prime suspect and also detained other people as a suspected where they start interrogating them. But on 20th July the boyfriend confessed that he murdered her. The other who was been arrested as a suspected was not found guilty. So, police released them.
The case was investigating by Cachar SP Numul Mahatta himself as per direction of DGP of Assam. The SP confirmed that the boyfriend of victim named Pinak Suklabaidya. A resident of Lala, Hailakandi as the Murderer based on his confirmation.
According to Cachar Police Statement about Silchar Girl Murder
Cachar SP said, “Pinak Suklabaidya murdered her on 15 July night and stayed in the same building. Next morning, he went to ISBT and look for bus of Guwahati. He then went for Guwahati and there he takes a fake ticket from Bangalore to Silchar of 17 July to show that after knowing about the incident he started travel for Silchar. But the conspiracy failed to live through under the investigation of the police.
Cachar SP asserted, “This is a gruesome murder. We condemn the act. The police is now in the process of building a strong chargesheet that stands the scrunity of law and ensures exemplary punishment.”
According Police, “Pinak Suklabaigya works as a receptionist in ITC company and he come to Silchar on 14th July.”
Cachar SP said that the accused revealed that he had a fight with the girl over an alleged love triangle while he was in Bangalore. The accused was very angry about the friendship or affair of the victim with someone. In that heated moment he strangulated her and murdered her.
Is it raped and acid attack murder
When question was asked to the SP that of the Silchar Girl Murder that it was raped and murdered with acid he said that, “It is not clear that it was raped or murdered with acid attack. We are still in the process of finding out more details. Bangalore Police also started parallel investigation about the case to figure out the role of a few others. Who are connect to the case but currently living there. Moreover, we sent some pieces of evidence and samples to Ahmedabad to find out the nature of the death.”
The Third person named was not revealed of the loved triangle as because SP Numal Mahatta refused to share the details.
