Due to heavy rainfall in the Northeast Region of India many places has been flooded. Many areas are under the flood water. For this reason severe water has logged at the Pit line of Silchar Railway Station in the Lumding Division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NRF). So, the Northeast Frontier Railway, based in Maligaon, has announced that several train services cancellation on Friday at Silchar Railway station.
This decision, as explained by the Chief Public Relations Officer, aims to keep passengers safe and reduce operational difficulties.
