A Shocking Day light robbery took place Near SBI Main Branch in Kokrajhar on May 15 from where Rs 2 Lakh looted.
According to reports, today a robbery took place near SBI branch in Kokrajhar, from where miscreants smashed a car window and lotted Rs 2 Lakh from inside the car. The victim identified as Barenda Basumatary, a business man from Gwjwnpuri village. He parked the Bolero car and stepped away Xerox document, leaving a bag of cash inside.
Taking to opportunity of it, an unknown miscreants broke the car window and run with the money.
The victim has filed an FIR at Kokrajhar Police Station. The police has launched investigation to catch the theft.
This is the third major daylight robbery in Kokrajhar in recent months. Earlier:
- On June 26, 2024, Rs 34 lakh was snatched near Axis Bank, JD Road.
- On July 9, 2024, a forest official lost Rs 2.15 lakh near UCO Bank in a similar heist.
