This is from Manipur!!
Kuki tribal youth burnt alive in Manipur,
The incident of passing away is extremely sad and shameful.
Earlier, In July, a shocking incident came to light involving two women from the Kuki-Zomi community who were subjected to public humiliation as they were paraded naked by a mob of men and sexually assaulted. This horrific incident had sparked nationwide outrage. It occurred in the Thoubal district on May 4, within the jurisdiction of the Nongpok Sekmai police station. A police official has now revealed that the video depicting a man being set on fire is part of the same series of violent events that occurred on that fateful day.
In connection with this case, the police had taken seven individuals into custody. The ongoing ethnic tensions in Manipur began on May 3 in an area situated at the border of the Kuki-Zomi dominated Churachandpur district and the Meitei-dominated Bishnupur district. This unrest quickly spread to various parts of the state.
On May 4, a mob engaged in violent activities in Thoubal, driven by rumors of the alleged rape of Meitei nurses at Churachandpur Medical College. It’s worth noting that these rumors had already been debunked by the then Director General of Police, P. Doungel, on May 5.
