On Saturday, September 8, a three-storey building collapse in the area of Transport Nagar in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The building is identified as Harmilap Building which was used as a warehouse for a Pharmaceutical business.
The incident took place at around 5 pm on Saturday. Many people died and injured in this incident. In Sunday morning the death rises 8 after the rescuers recovered three more bodied from debris. At least 28 people injured in the incident as per report released by the Relief Commisionerโs office Sunday.
According to information the building constructed four years ago, and was undergoing some construction work during collapse. In the time of the incident most the worker was working in the ground floor. The injured have taken to the near hospital after the incident.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police RN Singh said, โSince the start of our rescue operation, eight people have been reported dead so far and they have ben sent to medical institute for further investigation. 28 people were injured and are also getting proper treatment.. we are hoping that we have rescued all the people. We will complete the rescue operation in the next 5-6 hours and will also secure the surroundings buildings.โ
Additional Director General of Law-and-Order Amitabh Yash told ANI that CM Yogi Adityanath is continuously reviewing the situation and relief and rescue operation.

CM Yogi Adityanath paid condolence to the people who lost their lives in Lucknow Building Collapse incident. He took his social media platform and posted by stating, โThe loss of life due to the collapse of a building in Lucknow district is extremely sad and heart-breaking. My condolences are with the grieving families of the deceased. Instructions have been given to the concerned officials to conduct relief and rescue operations on war footing and provide proper treatment to the injured. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured.โ
Ex-Gratia would be given to the injured and died people
PM Narendra Modi stated, โThe loss of lives due to a building mishap in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is saddening. Prayers with those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi.โ
