Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) has lead a candlelight rally in the demand of justice of the victim Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case.
On August 12 in the demand of justice of Kolkata Doctor R.G Kar Medical College & hospital victim Female Doctor and the protection of Healthcare professionals, Silchar Medical College Students Union (SMSU), Junior Doctors Association (JDA), United UG & PG Students of SMCH has gathered together and lead out a candlelight rally.

Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case
On August 9, morning a semi-nude body of a woman doctor was found inside a seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. This hospital is run by government. In the seminar hall there was no CCTV Camera in the hospital. According to reports the incident took place between 3.00 am to 5.00 am.
The victim doctor was a second-year student of the chest medicine department. She was on duty when, she was allegedly rapped and murdered. Her dead body was recovered lying on a blood-stained mattress. Preliminary Autopsy reports declared that she was raped before being murdered.
On Saturday, the main accused Sanjay Roy arrested by the Kolkata Police. They used a crucial piece of evidence—a Bluetooth headphone left at the crime scene—to identify him.
The accused charged under section 64 (rape) and 103 (murder) of BNS and produced before Sealdah court. He was sent to 14-days police custody.
Today, 13 August Calcutta High Court has transfer the case to CBI and to transfer all probe in the CBI.

Nationwide Protest erupt in demand of justice of the victim of the Doctor who was Raped and Murdered
After the incident In Kolkata the Doctors have stopped all non-emergency services and are even not providing emergency care. Which has brought the city’s healthcare system to a halt.
The protests escalated on Monday after Dr. Sandip Ghosh, who had just resigned as Principal of RG Kar Medical College, was quickly appointed as the new Principal of Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital (CNMCH). The protesting doctors have pledged to stop Dr. Ghosh from taking his new position at CNMCH.
Not only in Kolkata the protest erupted Nationwide. In Delhi, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), which typically sees 10,000 outpatient visits every day, has seen a 20% decrease in patient registrations as doctors join the protest. Major hospitals in Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur are all experiencing significant problems. In Uttarakhand, where recent natural disaster have increased the demand for medical treatment, physicians are continuing working but wearing black armbands to demonstrate their support for the protest.
