Journalist arrests for spreading fake news on Ongoing Exam Paper Leak in Dhubri

A social media-based news portal journalist arrested by Assam police for allegedly spreading false information about a leaked exam paper at Jaruar Char Public High School.

The journalist identified as Raju Ahmed, also known as Sabur Uddin, who worked for Janagana Barta. He was taken custody by Bandihana police.

As per reports, Ahmed allegedly circulated misinformation claiming that general mathematics question paper had been leaked. He was arrested after a complaint filed by the school authorities.

Meanwhile, the Dhubri Department Education also filed am FIR against several satellite media channels are suspected of spreading false claims.

Officials have urged journalists to check facts before publishing to avoid panic and misinformation. Further investigation is ongoing.
