A shocking incident took place in Guwahati, when a man tragically lost his life at the hands of his own nephew in a drunken stage on Thursday night.
According to reports, a man has killed by his own nephew after a violent altercation took place. The deceased identified as Uday Rai Choudhury.
According to some source, the fight began within them in the early evening when they both Uday Rai Choudhury and his nephew Raja Basumatary, were in intoxicated and drinking together at a house in Mathgaria. What started as a casual interaction soon turned into a heated argument that quickly escalated into violence.
In a drunken stage, Basumatary repeatedly struck Choudhury with a wooden baton, leaving him bleeding heavily.
Choudhury was immediately rushed to the hospital by his family members, but he was declared dead by doctors.
Following the incident police arrived at the scene and arrested Basumatary and launched an investigation.
