A Delta Airlines Plane has crash and overturns at Toronto Airport, while landing on February 17, 2025 afternoon. It’s good to be known that all the 80 people onboard survived. No casualties reported. Only at least 18 people injured in the incident.

Photos and videos which viral in social media shows that flames and black smoke billowing from the plane and the passenger were coming out of the plane from the front and rear doors. The plane flipped over on snowy ground after crashing while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

All the injured people are currently receiving treatment at nearby hospital in Toronto.

How did the Delta plane crash?

Delta Airlines Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air using a CRJ-900 aircraft crashed while landing on a snow-covered runway. It flipped upside down on the run way. “One of passenger described hanging “like bats” inside the aircraft after it after it crashed” stated in CNN.

Delta Airlines Flight 4819 departed from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and arrived its destination at Toronto Pearson International Airport at around 2:15 p.m. ET on Monday afternoon.

The Plane was carrying 80 people on board – 76 passengers and four crew.

At least 18 people injured including three critically – a child, a 60 years old man and 40 years old woman.

What did the passenger of the crash plane said?

One person John Nelson stated, “Delta to Toronto. Plane crashes. I’m ok” posted at Facebook with video.

Another passenger stated told television network, ““We hit the ground, and we were sideways, and then we were upside down.”

He also added, “I was able to just unbuckle and sort of fall and push myself to the ground. And then some people were kind of hanging and needed some help being helped down, and others were able to get down on their own.”

“Delta Connection flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air using a CRJ-900 aircraft, was involved in a single-aircraft accident at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at around 2:15 p.m. ET* on Monday. The flight originated from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities and 18 customers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals. Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted.

Delta has activated its Passenger Inquiry Center for family and loved ones of customers involved in today’s accident so they can connect with Delta for more information. In Canada, these individuals may reach out via 1-866-629-4775. In the United States, they may connect using 1-800-997-5454.

“The hearts of the entire global Delta family are with those affected by today’s incident at Toronto-Pearson International Airport,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “I want to express my thanks to the many Delta and Endeavor team members and the first responders on site. We are working to confirm the details and will share the most current information on http://news.delta.com as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, please take care and stay safe.”

The flight was carrying a total of 80 people – 76 passengers and four crew. Delta has cancelled its flights to and from YYZ for the remainder of the evening and has issued a travel waiver. Details of the waiver can be found on http://Delta.com.

Delta is working to connect with customers whose flights have been impacted. Customers should also monitor the status of their flight via the Fly Delta app. Endeavor Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines headquartered in Minneapolis.”
