Arunachal Pradesh Cloudburst: Today, June 23 a cloudburst trigged severe landslide, serve flooding and made cause situation in Itanagar and Naharlagun of Arunachal Pradesh.
The unexpected cloudburst led to flood and several landslide where several house, vehicles and road damaged in the region.
This unexpected cloudburst happened at around 10.30 am today in the area of Itanagar and Naharlagun.
Disaster Management has noted: โAlthough no warning has been issued, and no forecast of heavy rain in Itanagar, there has been a cloud burst and heavy rainfall in ICR, leading to flooding and landslidesโ
The district administration has advised people not to go near rivers or areas prone to landslides due to heavy rains. They’ve set up seven places where people can go for shelter if needed.
The Disaster Management officials said the cloudburst took place at around 10.30 am which resulted several landslides in various location of Itanagar and its surrounding areas. Additionally, several section NH-415 roads for the residents of state experienced flood-like conditions.
Arunachal Pradesh has been witnessing heavy rainfall over last two weeks but the situation better in past two days. Moreover there was no forecast about rainfall for Sunday.
The Papu Nala river of Arunachal Pradesh has overflown itโs bank.
