Cachar Police on 23 May conduct operation in two different location from where they seized a huge amount of suspected drugs item like brown sugar and Yaba tablets and arrested a total of 4 person in connection of it.
First Operation by Cachar police
Based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted by the Assam Rifles Intelligence and Dholai Police at the Hawaithang area under Dolhai, Cachar. During this operation the police managed to arrest one drug peddler and recovered 30 plastic soap cases of suspected brown sugar.
The arrested individual identified as Mira Hussain (26 years) residents of Uttar Lailapur. The seized items contains 418 grams. The arrested people currently under interrogation by the police.
Second Operation
In other operation Cachar police seized a huge amount of Yaba tablets. Acting on tip-off Cachar police informed that they set up a naka checking at the Ghungoor bypass point, Silchar to trap the smuggler. During the checking a four-wheeler vehicle intercepted by the police on the national high way which connect Silchar and Aizwal.
During the search of the vehicle the police recovered 2 concealed packet of Yaba tablets inside a hidden chamber of the car and arrested three people in connection of it. The concealed packets contains a total of 20,000 Yaba Tablets. The estimate value of the seized items would be Rs. 6 Crore.
According to the police the accused managed to smuggle the seized items out of Mizoram and also they planned to take it to the other state where they would hand over it to the buyers of the product.
The arrested people name identified as Nizam Uddin age 56 years resident of Jirighat Lalpani, Dimduanlung Rongmei age 50 years of Ramgozamg, Jirighat and Kamal Uddin age 50 years of Sildubi village, Cachar Assam.
Further investigation is going on and the arrested people are under interrogation.
