Cachar Police have arrested the prime suspect of Human Trafficking, From Telangana, Cachar Police said on Sunday.
According to reports, the arrest was connected to the trafficking of two girls from Gumrah Tea State, Cachar, who were later rescued from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Another accused Leela Ram also arrested by the police.
The Prime suspect is identified as Rupali Dutta, residents of Brahmagram, Kalain, Cachar district of Assam. Cachar Police stated that they launched manhunt to arrest the prime accused Raupali Dutta and Ganga Ganju in Telengana. They were on the run for a long time.
Cachar SP Numal Mahatta said that based on inputs, Cachar police found the information that prime accused Rupali Dutta was in the Telangana. So, a team of Cachar police sent to arrest the long time run accused. They arrested Rupali Dutta from Nanakramguda area of Hyderabad, Telangana. After that police produced her in the court. The accused Rupali Dutta has been placed for 5 days in Police custody by the court.
Another accused Ganga Ganju remains at large out of the state.
Further investigation is going in this case.
