A woman from Gholaghat, Assam detained for anti-national comments on Pahalgam Terror Attack about the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
Guwahati Crime Branch arrested the woman identified as Dadhichi Dimple alias Dimple Baruah, was detained for her “controversial and anti-national comments,” Golaghat Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajen Singh confirmed to ANI. Later she was handed over to Golaghat Police.
Golaghat Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajen Singh told ANI a day earlier, “A woman named Dadhichi Dimple alias Dimple Baruah from Golaghat district of Assam detained by the Crime Branch from Guwahati for making controversial and anti-national comments on the #Pahalgam TerrorAttack. She was later handed over to the Golaghat police. The Golaghat police arrested her and brought her to the Golaghat police station…”

A total of 14 people arrested in Assam for making controversial and anti-national comments on Pahalgam Terror Attack. Among them one has told Pakistan Zindabad in the comments.
On April 26, 2025, Hailakandi Police arrested Sumon Mazumdar, also known as Bulbul Alom Mazumder, a second-semester BA student at S.S. College, Hailakandi. The arrest came after the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) filed an FIR against Sumon, alleging that he had posted a Facebook comment stating “Pakistan Zindabad / Love my Pakistan” in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
