Popular Actor Govinda suffered accidental bullet injury in his leg in his home in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. The actor is hospitalized and now out of danger. His manager said he is doing fine.
The incident happened at the actorโs Juhu home at around 4:45 am today due to misfire from his licensed gun.
According to reports, he was checking his licensed revolver before preparing to leave for Kolkata in the early hours of this morning. Accidently his revolver fell from his hand, misfired and suffered injury to his leg.
His Manager Shashi Sinha confirmed that the bullet from actorโs leg has been removed and now his condition is stable.
Sashi stated, โWe had a 6 am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened.โ
He also added, โHe was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now.โ
While Govinda released an audio clip stating, โI was hit by a bullet but it has been extracted. I thank the doctors here and your prayers.โ
Mumbai police also confirmed that Govinda is fine and the bullet injury is not serious. However he was taken to hospital as a precaution, ANI reported.
