Karimganj Police arrested a smuggler with 10,000 Yaba Tablets while transporting. They arrested him from the Indo-Bangladesh border in the Jabda area, Karimganj.
The market value of the seized items would be Rs 2.5 Crore. Police also seized two-wheeler, which is used to smuggle.
Based on secret information, Karimganj Police launched an investigation in the Jabda area. They intercepted a two-wheeler. After searching the vehicle they managed to recovered yaba tablet.
The arrested individual, identified as Jabir Hussain age 25 years old and residents of Deopur area.
The operation marks the success in the ongoing effort to carrying by the police against drugs trafficking in the region.
The swift action by the police has success to take control cross-border drug trafficking today.
CM Himanta took to social media and loud over the success. He stated, “Based on intelligence inputs, an operation was conducted by Karimganj Police, wherein they intercepted a two-wheeler carrying 10,000 YABA tablets worth ₹2.5 crore. One person has also been apprehended in this regard.
