A horrifying incident came out to fore a 19 years old girl who was missing from 15 July. Her dead body was found in an under construction building in Dwarbond, Cachar Assam. The dead body was discovered by the locals and call the police. A Girl was raped and brutally murdered.
The Victim worked at a shop in Premtola, Silchar and lived in Raghirkhari Petrol Pump. On the day of 15th July after the work she was on the way to home at around 9:30 pm but did not went to home. And even did not trace her after that. So, the victim father went to the Rangirkhari police station to logged FIR when they couldnโt trace her and found her mobile switched off.
When the Victims Father got the informed about the dead body which was discovered. The father went to the spot for the identification of the dead body that it was his daughter body or not.
After the dead body recovered of A Girl was Raped the locals launched a protest
After the body recovered and the police hand over the body after postmortem to the family. On 18th July in the evening the locals gathered and blocked the road and launched protest against the police by keeping the dead body in the road at Ranghirkhari point. According to the locals the police did not take necessary step after the FIR logged.
In that protest many people start demonstrating but when police and CRPF went there and tried to calm the situation. But it taken violence situation and many of people started to through stone upon the police and CRPF which make many of them injured. To make the violent situation under controlled the police opened fire in the air and started Lathi Charged to make make the Situation Controlled.
Police to investigate and to give justice to the girl
Cachar SP Numal Mahanta said, โThe family has been cooperating with us since the time the dead body of a girl was raped and murdered was recovered by the police. Their only demand has been to ensure a thorough investigation and necessary action against the perpetrators crime. We have assured them that the perpetrators of the will be booked and justice will be surved.โ
He also said, โGoing against their will, some miscreants launched a protest and started demonstrating with the dead body of the victim. Most of them had become from different parts of the town of them were intoxicated too. These miscreants launched a violent attack at the police officials and CRPF to disburse the mob. We have detained 11 individuals for pelting stones at the officials and damaging public property. Action will be taken against them.โ
The SP of Cachar claims that the family was cooperating with the cops, the victim father also alleged corruption of Rangirkhari Police Station. The police of this station demanded Rs.500 to draft FIR when he went to the station for logged the FIR.
Deceased girl sister’s Statement
The sister of the deceased said, โMy father kept going to the police and begged for the progress of the investigation. But they the officials were no in hurry. In fact, the officials said that they even traced the location of Dwarbond but when we asked for them to go there and check they insisted us to go instead.โ She also accused the police for delaying the investigation.
Burt she agreed that she only wants investigation and justice. She said, โMy sister was brutally murdered and raped her throat was cut and her body was subject acid attack. It was brutal murdered. She does not have enemies to suffer all this. Why did my sister do to face such a tragic death?โ
And also the family urged the police to investigate her boyfriend who is a resident of Hailakandi.”
