This incident took place in Dehemaji district.
SEBAโs Principal Examination Controller addressed the issue, stating, โThe ADRE-2024 was conducted successfully, and all used and unused OMR answer sheets, attendance sheets, and reports were packed and sealed under strict supervision. These materials were sent to central strong rooms in the respective District Commissioner offices immediately after the examination.โ
The statement continued, โAfter 1:30 PM on September 15, the question papers were no longer confidential. Mobile internet services were suspended from 10 AM to 1:30 PM on September 15, ruling out any possibility of uploads or transfers before or during the exam.โ
The ADRE 2024 question paper which leaked and gone viral identified as by booklet number 1035034. This paper appeared on social media at 4:15 PM on September. But the photo of the question paper click 2:17 PM on September 15, as the image has timestamped.
ADRE Grade 3 Question Paper Leak: One Arrested
The question paper who uploaded on social media identified as Mangal Singh Basumutary, one of the photographers engaged by SEBA at the centre. He has been apprehended by the Dhemaji police. His mobile phone seized by the police and further interrogation is going on to identify the people to whom he has send.
On September 16, DGP GP Singh stated on social media, โReference uploading of used question paper of ADRE Examination on Social Media – The initial Police investigation has revealed that the used question paper which was uploaded on the social media was used at Upendra National Academy, Simen Chapori, Dhemaji District. Dhemaji Police has Cracked the case, it has been revealed that the paper was photographed by one Mangal Singh Basumutary, one of the photographers engaged by SEBA at the centre. The photography was done after examination was over at 1.30 PM at the examination centre.
He has been detained and has confessed the photography of the paper after the examination was over. His mobile devices have been seized for further investigation. He also circulated the paper after clicking the pictures to a few individuals who are being identified for further action. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the criminal conspiracy behind this act to defame the examination process.โ
