Robert Downey Jr. will soon return in Marvel Universe but not as Iron Man. He will return as Doctor Doom in the new Avenger movie Avengers: Doomsday announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
The Chief of the Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige also present on this occasion. The film Avengers: Doomsday will be released on May 2026. The film Avengers: Doomsday directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The Russo brothers will direct two new “Avengers” movies: “Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”
Robert Downey Jr. is Dr. Doom in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
In the Avengers: Doomsday film we will see Robert in the role of Villain as Victor Von Doom, or Doctor Doom. On Saturday he post an video where in an event appeared wearing Dr Doom’s mask and a green cloak. He surprised everyone by removing the mask from his face and revealed that he was set to return in Marvel. “New mask, same task,” Downey wrote in a post in an Instagram.
Not only Robert Downey Jr. is returning the Director Russo Brothers who direct the ‘Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame’ will also return. They are the director of “Avengers” movies: “Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”
Anthony Russo said, “When we directed Avengers: Endgame, Joe and I truly believed that it was the end of the road for us in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because we had put all of our passion, our love, our imagination into The Winter Soldier, into Civil War, into Infinity War, climaxing all of it with Avengers: Endgame.”
The another new film ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ also announced by Marvel Studios. The film will be released in May 2027.
