Recently a tragic incident has took place in Kolkata where a doctor of R.G Kar Hospital raped and murdered. Doctors and people all over the India are protesting in demand of justice, in midst of this a raped incident has come out from Bengaluru.
A 21 years old girl has sexually assault by a biker who gave her lift, according to senior police. The incident took place on Sunday, early hours at an isolated place of Rajeev Gandhi Nagar, HSR Layout, in southeast Bengaluru ’s Sector-7.
According to information, the girl was returning from a party with her friends in Koramangala to her accommodation in Chandapura area, off House Road. A 21 years old girl has sexually assault by a biker who gave her lift. The survivor’s friends supposed to drive her home.
However, their car lightly hit an autorickshaw just minutes after leaving Koramangala, which caused a road rage incident. Both sides started arguing, and the police called to settle the issue.
But the girl left the scene before police arrived. She tried for a lift, so, she asked passing bikers for lift. Many of the bikers told her that they were not going her way, but one of them agreed to give lift and to drop her. The bikers instead of dropping her at Hongansandra, he took her at isolated place of Rajeev Gandhi Nagar, Bengaluru which is a few meters away from Hosur Main Road, she claimed.
When she sensed about danger, she immediately pressed the SOS button on her mobile, and alert her brother, father and friends.
According to police, two of her friends rushed to spot and found her behind a truck naked and traumatized. One of her friends immediately covered her with a jacket and later they used car seat cover to covered her.
They also see a half-half naked man, who have scratch mark on his face standing near her. One of her friends tried to catch the man but failed.
The girl friends than took her immediately to a hospital in Bommasandar, where she admitted. One of the friends of the victim also filed a complaint with HSR Layout police station about the incident.
Commissioner of Police, Raman stated about the Bengaluru incident
According to Bangalore East Division Additional Commissioner of Police, Raman Gupta, “A man from whom she had taken a ‘lift’ made a criminal assault and raped her. We have registered a rape case and started an investigation.”
“There is only one suspect. The man who gave her a lift is suspected to be the rapist and our investigations are on. We gathered all the information and have formed five teams. We are carrying out the investigation further, and soon the culprit will be arrested,” Gupta said.
The Commissioner of Police (EAST), also provided a brief statement: “Today early morning between 1 to 1:30, one grave incident was reported at HSR police station. A young woman tried to get lift on a two-wheeler around 1 a.m., but instead of being taken to the designated place, the person tool her to an isolated location and attempted to rape her. We have registered a case, and further investigation is underway. She admitted to a private hospital, where her condition is stable.”
