An hienious incident took place in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, where a 19 years old nursing has allegedly raped by a auto-rickshaw driver on her way to home from college. The driver offered spiked water to the girl and after she lost her consciousness, he took her in an isolated place and raped her.
The incident took place on Monday, August 26. The incident come out when all the people are demanding justice for Kolkata Raped and murder case victim, the incident took place on August 9.
The auto-rickshaw driver after doing the henieous crime he fled from the scene. The victim girl called her family after she regained consciousness. The parents of the girl filed police complaint regard the incident. The police also registered a case and launched investigation, where they are scanning CCTV footage to identified the accused and arrest him. Victim is admitted to the local hospital for treatment.
This incident has sparked massive protest, where the nurses and hospital staff staged a protest demanding the death penalty of the accused.
The people of the Ratnagiri also staged protest where they blocked road. The demonstrators carried banners and shouted slogans, demanding immediate action against the rapist. This has caused major disruption in the city, and authorities are urging calm while assuring that the investigation is a top priority.
Further investigation is going on to arrest the culprit.
