A video goes viral where a shocking incident took place, a college student from Patharkandi College in Karimganj seen gasps for breath and wailing in pain on 19 July, 2024.
The distressing video has been circulated through social media.
It has been alleged that the student has assaulted by several faculty members, including the Principal, Monjurul Hoque. He then took shelter at a local grocery shop after the attack.
In the video we see that local people came to his help. They provide him water and tried to console him. The allegation is that the Principal of Patharkandi College, Monjurul Hoque assaulted the student.
After the video goes viral today, 20 July, Patharkandi college campus heated up with student strike, hundreds of people joined the protest.
SP Partha Pratim Das confirmed that while an official complaint is still awaited, the police has already started their investigation based on the viral video.
