Cachar Police in collaboration with the Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) conduct an operation on December 21 in Silchar, where police seized Rs 20 Crore worth Yaba Tablets and heroin. One arrested in connection of it.
According to reports, the operation was conducted on Sonabarighat, from where police intercepted a motor vehicle and recovered the seized items.
Cachar Police recovered and seized 60,000 Yaba tablets and 125 grams of heroin from the vehicle. The arrested individual identified as Sahil Ahmed Laskar from Sonai of Cachar district.
STF Chief Dr Partha Sarathi Mahanta said the estimate market value of the sized items would be Rs 20 Crore.
