A viral video has captured a fleet of mysterious glowing objects spotted near an Air Force base in Indiana, sparking widespread debate about whether they might be UFO s. The sighting occurred on October 7 near Kokomo, Indiana, just south of the Grissom Joint Air Reserve Base.
In the video, at least six yellowish-orange orbs can be seen flickering and hovering before disappearing.
One witness described the sight as a “huge rectangle” that showed a distinct vapor shock wave on Doppler radar. โIโve seen many easily explained radar anomalies over the yearsโฆbut never a huge rectangle with a clearly defined vapor shock wave and trail,โ the witness told Daily Mail, estimating it would measure roughly 20 miles in length.
Some observes, however, believe thereโs a simple explanation. Alejandro Rojas from Enigma Labs, which studies UFO sightings, suggested the lights were likely flares dropped by military aircraft. โThese look very clearly to be like military flares,โ he said, adding that the patternโlights appearing in a row, then disappearingโaligns with how military flares behave.
The video was widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), with many users saying they had seen similar lights elsewhere. โI swear a few years ago, this looks exactly amber lit orbs I, and many others on the freeway, saw just overย Los Angeles. But at the time, I couldnโt find this reported by anyone on the newsโ.,โ one user commented. Another added, โI saw this same thing outside Hondo Texas 2 years ago. But there were about 8 lights in a row, disappearing and then reappearing just like this, for about a full minute.โย
As the video spread, so did debates on the possible existence of extraterrestrial life. โHumanity best be thinking about how to deal with aliens. No more denying they are here.,โ one user posted. Many have commented on this post.
Whether military or extraterrestrial in origin, the incident has captured public interest, keeping curiosity alive as sightings like these continue to pop up across the country.
