A heinous crime has took place in the area of Dhing, Noigaon, Assam, where a 14 years old girl abducted and raped. The girl in now undergoing treatment at Nagaon Hospital.
The incident occurred on Thursday, when the girl and her younger brother were returning home after dropping their grandmother. In that time two men arrived on a motorcycle and forcefully took the girl. They covered her mouth and drove away, leaving her younger brother in danger.
The locals of the area has come out after they heard victim cries for help and they recovered the girl but it was too late by the time and the rapist had fled from the scene.
A local resident said, “This happened near my house. I heard screams for help and came outside. Other villagers also came out, and we chased the two men, but they got away. Later, we found out they had taken the girl on their motorcycle and raped her.”
Another village said, “We know them, they are locals. They used to work at my shop. The incident occurred at around 11 pm. We came to know later that she was raped.” The villagers are demanding strict action against the accused.
The accused duo identified as Fuzail Ahmed and Ishrafil Hussain. These two accused took the girl an isolated spot in the Lathiamari area of Dhing and raped her. The victim girl was rescued by the locals and rushed to Nagaon hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
The girls family has logged an FIR against the accused and Dhing police launched an manhunt to arrest the accused. Both the accused are on run.
Earlier on August 22, 2024 a minor girl allegedly raped by three accused while returning home from tuition at around 6 pm. She was later found by locals in semi-conscious staged. Later this three accused has been arrested by the police. Among the three accused one died after falling into a pond while trying to escape from police.
