The headmaster of Chaudhury Bazar Primary School (No. 466) in Kaliganj, Sribhumi district, Abdul Muqtadir, has been accused of misusing nearly ₹9 lakh meant for mid-day meals. This allegation was made by assistant teacher, who has also reported receiving threats.
The assistant teacher also filed a formal complaint at Kaliganj Police Station, Sribhumi.
According to assistant teacher complaint, the headmaster has been mismanaging the mid-day meal funds since 2017. The issue surfaced after the state government asked schools to return any unused funds for mid-day meals. When no funds were returned from the school, Choudhury investigated further and found irregularities.
The Block Development Officer stepped in to investigate and visited the school. A meeting was held with the school’s management committee, but it turned into a heated argument, leaving Choudhury worried about her safety.
In her complaint, Choudhury has requested protection and a thorough investigation. She has also appealed to the Chief Minister for swift action to ensure justice and accountability.
