Cachar Police seized 12 Crore worth Yaba Tablets, One arrested
In a tip off Cachar police launched an operation led by SP Numal Mahatta in the area of Islamabad, Dholai area of Cachar district, Assam. The police intercepted a Maruti Alto Car coming from Mizoram and recovered a huge amount of Yaba Tablets and arrest an individual in connection of it.
According to police, they get a secret information about drug trafficking, so they launched an operation to caught the smugglers. They caught a vehicles coming from Mizoram and intercepted it. Cachar Police recovered and seized 40,000 Yaba Tablets. The value of the seized items would be Rs. 12 Crore.
The arrested individual identified as Kamrul Islam Mazumdar, residents of Dholai.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced it through social media. He stated, โBased on credible intelligence, @cacharpolice conducted a special operation in the Islamabad area today, apprehending an individual with 40,000 Yaba tablets. A vehicle used for transportation was also seized. The estimated market value of the illegal consignment is โน12 crore. To Make Assam Drugs Free the police will launched such operation and will arrest the smugglers.
