On November 27, a police officer of Sribhumi Police station, Assam, arrested for accepting bribe.
A team of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam launched an operation at Sribhumi town, where they trapped red handed a police officer while accepting bribe of Rs 4000.
The officer identified as Lance Naik Sapan Das, of Sribhumi Sadar Police station. The operation has launched after a complaint had been logged against the officer by a complainant that officer demand bribe in return for executing a warrant.
A trap was set by the Directorate near Sambhusagar Park Road, where the officer caught red-handed while accepting bribe. The bribe money was recovered and seized in the presence of independent witnesses.
The Directorate of Vigilance post, โToday @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Lance Naik Sapan Das of Sribhumi Sadar Police station in Sribhumi town, immediately after he accepted bribe from the complainant in connection with execution of a warrant.โ
