On August 24, late night younger brother killed his own elder brother in Golaghat. This incident took place at Kuruka Village in Golaghat, Assam.
According to reports, Dhairjya Saikia, also known as Tutu, allegedly killed his elder brother Prabin Saikia. The murder is suspected to be result of family dispute.
At the time of incident, Prabin Saikia was getting ready for bed after dinner when his younger brother, Dhairjya Saikia, attacked him at Prabin’s home. Prabin was taken to the hospital, but he died from his injuries.
A local resident mentioned, “The brothers might have argued about a family issue. Prabin could have been badly hurt, maybe from a hit to his chest. They lived nearby but in separate homes. The attack happened at Prabin’s house last night.”
Initial investigations indicate that Dhairjya’s family members might have encouraged him.
The police are at the scene and are searching for Dhairjya, who has fled.
