Robbery in Guwahati: A daylight robbery and shooting incident took place in the area of Paltan Bazar area of Guwahati on Friday, September 20 in the early morning.
The incident occurred near the Vishwaratna Hotel on AT Road.
According to reports, a group of miscreants pulled out pistols and demanded cash and the e-rickshaw driver’s mobile phone. This miscreants took the e-rickshaw driver Iayaz Ali’s mobile phone and cash.
Witnessed reported that the miscreants also attempted to steal Iayaz Ali’s e-rickshaw but unable to do so. To escape from the scene the robbers opened fire before running. No one injured in the gunfire.
E-rickshaw driver Iayaz Ali filed a complained to the Panbazar Police Station, Guwahati. Police are currently investigating the matter and also launched a search operation to track the miscreants.
