On January 18, in the morning a tragic school bus accident took place in Umarangso, Dima Hasao district in which one student died and left several injured.
According to reports, a school bus bearing registration number AS 08 C 2292 overturned near the Necem cement factory in Umrangso in the early which cause accident. The bus was transporting students of Sacred Heart School. At the time of the accident multiple students was at the bus.
One student has died in the accident, identified as Dalmir Rangpi. At least 15 students injured, with three in critical condition and currently is under emergency medical care.
Authorities are currently examining the factors surrounding the accident.
