Miss India Tripura 2017 Rinky Chakma passed away at the of 28. She was battling with cancer for two years. Rinky Chakma was suffering from Malignant Tumor (Breast Cancer) from 2022, She also undergone from surgery flowing her diagnosis. Unfortunately, the cancer spread in her lungs and then head which cause brain tumor. Eventually, at last she lost the battle from the disease and lost her life.
Priyanka Kaumari close friend of Rinky Chakma and 2nd runner up of Femina Miss India 2017 recently share a post in her insta account where she shared a medical reports and to raise funds for her treatment. There she appealed to their fans for funds. Priyanka Kaumari wrote that they were raising funds for her Close friends Rinky Chakma, who had been battling from cancer for two years. She also added that Rinky Chakma had breast cancer and underwent surgery but it later metastasised into her lungs and brain. Unfortunately her health deteriorated and she had unable to sustain chemotheraphy, so she had discharged until her health restores. She also said that Rinky was in the ICU.

Rinky Chakma also shared a post where she explain about her condition of health. There she also said about her family financial condition. She wrote, “ I just wanted to let everyone know that me and my family is going through a rough time and the last 2 years have also not been easy with regular hospital stays and visits.I am accepting donations as of now because we have exhausted all our savings on my treatment since the last two years. I thought letting everyone know what i am going through will also make me feel better .
