Guwahati police on 6 September, arrested a man for sexual abusing his own 7 years old granddaughter. The incident took place in Guwahati’s Panjabari locality, Assam on Friday.
Police immediately arrets the man after they were informed about the incident. The accused man identified as Tofail Ali Sheikh age 55 years.
According to information, the victim minor girls lost her parents and was looked after her grandparents. It has been said at the time of incident grandmother was not at home. Taking advantage of the absence of grandmother on Thursday night, victim grandfather committed the crime.
However, later the minor girl managed to escape from Tofail Ali Sheikh’s clutches and immediately informed neighbours about the abuse.
Based on her word, the locals informed the Satgaon police about the incident. Police promptly arrived at the place and arrested the accused Tofail Ali Sheikh.
Further investigation is going and the accused is currently under interrogation at the Satgaon police station, Guwahati Police.
