DELHI OLD AGE PENSION SCHEME : For the convenience of the state’s senior citizens, the Delhi government has started an old – age pension program. The primary goal of this program is to offer state-eligible senior citizens financial help in the form of periodic pension.
Features of Delhi Old Age Pension SCHEME
Main Features of Old Age Pension Scheme in Delhi are as follows :-
- As part of this Old Age Assistance Scheme, the government offers candidates in the 60-69 age range financial assistance of RS 2000 per month. The government also gives SC/ST Minority group members an extra RS 500 monthly.
- RS 2500 per month will be given to people over 70.
- As part of the Delhi Old Age Assistance Scheme, the government would use the Reserve Bank of India’s ECS system deposit the recipients pension payment directly into their bank accounts.
Eligibility Criteria :
Some eligible criteria of Old Age Pension Scheme in Delhi are as follows:-
- Applicant must be resident in Delhi.
- Applicant must be 60 years or old are eligible for the scheme.
- Applicantย families annual income not more than RS10,00,000.
- The applicant must not get financial aid or a pension from the government or any other local bodies of government.
- The candidate must have a single-operated account in one of the banks in Delhi’s National Capital Territory.

Application Form :
The candidate must visit the official website of the Government of the NCT of Delhi to register through user login or by visiting the relevant District Social Welfare office to apply for the Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme.
The applicant must then complete the Old Age Pension Scheme application form with necessary information in the format specified. An Aadhaar number is require to complete the application. When finished, join the online application with the selected documents to be digitized and submitted. The relevant District Social Welfare office will examine the petition and if necessary, the applicant will contact for the verification procedure. If approved, the aid is deposited each month into the beneficiary’s bank account using their Aadhaar number.
Payment method of Old Age Pension Scheme
Through the PFMS portal, the aid will transfer to the benificiary’s bank account by their Aadhaar & Account number.
