The ongoing heatwave in Assam has claimed another life. A daily wage worker has died due to extreme heat in Rangia, Assam. The daily wage worker identified as Jogen Kalita age 55 years, residents of Rangia within Kamrup district of Assam.
According to sources, Jogen Kalita has went out for his usual day of work despite of extreme heat yesterday. After working in intense heat throughout the day, he returns home in the evening and feel unwell.
Jogen Kalita’s situation worsen quickly as he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. His family immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. But unfortunately, despite urgent effort doctor pronounced after arriving at the hospital.
People are advised not to go out of the house if not required to avoid heat during the day. Drink water to keep yourself cool.
