A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel allegedly took his own life by shooting himself with service rifle at a camp located on the outskirts of Guwahati, Assam.
According to information, the (CRPF) personnel identified as Head Constable Jadhav Atul Hari, hailed from Maharashtra. He was stationed at the 175 Battalion CRPF camp in Rani.
The incident has took place on Friday night, he was recovered in his quarter, lying on the floor with his rifle by his side. He allegedly shot himself with his service rifle. The reason behind of his extreme step is yet to established.
Local police, accompanied by military officials, swiftly responded to the scene and have started an investigation to understand what happened.
