Boneej Scheme is a special scheme which launched by the Assam Government. The Scheme promote the entrepreneurship and generating employment opportunities for the youth in the state. The basic objective of the scheme is to provide special grant for rural industrial enterprises in traditional and micro sector in Assam.

The Boneej Scheme offers financial aid and support services to entrepreneurs, including seed funding and training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. This comprehensive assistance aims to empower entrepreneurs, nurture their skills, foster business growth, and facilitate access to markets.

Area of Implementation: All district excluding those within the jurisdiction Karbi- Anglong Autonomous District Council, NC Hills Autonomous District Council and Bodoland Territorial Autonomous Districts would be covered.

Eligibility Criteria :

Following are the criteria should fulfill by the industry to avail the grant, viz:

  • The industry should located in a rural areas of Assam.
  • This industry should be an existing one and having continuous operation for minimum of last two years.
  • The unit should have its own work shed for production and process.
  • Age of the applicant should not be less than 18 years and more than maximum of 50 years.
  • There is no bar of educational qualification.
  • The unit should have avail term loan/working capital loan to the extend to minimum of one lakh.

Benefits of scheme

It is proposed to provide Rs. 25000.00 ( Rupees twenty Five thousand ) as a grant to the industries located in Rural areas only where the annual turnover is less than Rs.5 lakh. The amount of grant shall utilized by the units for procurement of machinery /raw materials, as the case may be.

How to apply for the Boneej Scheme

  • Obtain the Application Form: Interested individuals can acquire the application form from either the nearby office of the Social Welfare Department, Assam, or through the official website of the department.
  • Complete the Application Form: The application form entails providing detailed personal information, including age, address, Below Poverty Line (BPL) status, and bank account details, among other necessary details. Providing accurate and complete information is vital for a smooth evaluation process.
  • Attach Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit a set of supporting documents to validate their eligibility. These documents typically include age proof, BPL card, bank account details, industry registration copy, identity proof, address proof, and relevant training certificates.
  • Submit the Application Form: Once completed, the filled application form along with the supporting documents should submitted to the concerned General Manager of the District Industries & Commerce Centre (DICC).
  • No Application Fee: Applicants are not required to pay any fee for submitting the application form.
  • Application Verification and Approval: The submitted application and supporting documents undergo a comprehensive verification process to ensure that the applicant meets all eligibility criteria. Upon successful verification, the applicant receives approval for the scheme.
  • Benefits Disbursement: Upon approval, the beneficiary becomes eligible to receive financial assistance as per the scheme’s guidelines. The government’s support commences in alignment with the scheme’s directives.

  • One Pass Port size photograph.
  • Copy of Industry registration.
  • Caste Certificate, as applicable.
  • Identity roof
  • Address proof.
  • Training Certificate, if available.
  • Copy of the First page of the Bank Pass Book.
